Buenaventura Golf Course remains closed.
Thank you for your interest in Buenaventura Golf Course. We appreciate all the support we have received since the flood. Staff have been working tirelessly for months on the following:
• Mud/clay/silt removed from approximately 65% of the fairways, 16 greens, and practice putting green and prepared for off-site hauling.
• Six buildings (lower restrooms/storage rooms, sales office, grill, pro-shop, on-course restrooms, and maintenance building) cleared of mud/silt and prepped following remediation guidelines for safe entry.
• Bunkers throughout the course have been cleared of mud/clay/silt.
• Agronomy assessment completed, conditioning of saved turf areas (fairways, greens, and surrounds) is underway and continual.
• Initial FEMA representative and federal guidelines meeting completed.
As we continue to make progress on the course we will post updates on the website. These are a few of the things we are currently working on:
• Scope of work written for off-site mud/dirt/debris removal.
• FEMA representatives’ site inspections and assessment of damages.
• Golf course re-construction site visits and scope of work to be written.
• Structures assessment and scope of work to be written.
At this time, there is no date for re-opening. Please check back for status updates and thanks again for your support of Buenaventura Golf Course.
